2. Booking a Workshop

• Bookings are made via our website and are subject to availability.

• Full payment is required at the time of booking via Wix, Stripe, or PayPal.

• You will receive a confirmation email once your booking is complete. If you do not receive confirmation, please contact us.

 

3. Cancellations and Refunds

By you (the customer):

 

• You may cancel your booking up to 14 days before the workshop for a full refund.

• If cancellation is made within 14 days of the event, we are only able to offer a refund if we can fill your space in time, except in exceptional circumstances (at our discretion).  Please get in touch to see what we can offer. 

• You may request to transfer your booking to a future workshop, subject to availability.

 

By us (Meet and Makes):

 

• We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule workshops due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, low bookings).

• If we cancel, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another date.

 

4. Attendance and Participation

• Please arrive on time. We may not be able to accommodate late arrivals once a session has started.

• If you are unable to attend without cancelling in advance, your ticket will be considered used.

• If a workshop involves children under 13, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

5. Health, Safety, and Accessibility

• You are responsible for informing us of any allergies, dietary needs, or accessibility requirements at the time of booking.

• We will do our best to accommodate your needs, but we are not liable for any adverse reactions if we were not made aware in advance.

• Please follow any safety instructions given during the workshop to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

 

6. Behaviour and Conduct

• We aim to provide a welcoming, inclusive environment. Any disruptive, offensive, or unsafe behaviour may result in removal from the workshop without refund.

• Children must be supervised appropriately and behave respectfully toward others and the materials.

 

7. Liability Disclaimer

• We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to your personal belongings during a workshop.

• While we take every precaution, participation in hands-on craft activities involves some inherent risk. You attend at your own risk.

• We are not liable for injuries or health issues that may arise during or after attending a session.

 

8. Intellectual Property

• All workshop materials, content, and designs remain the intellectual property of Meet and Makes unless otherwise stated.

• You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any materials for commercial purposes without written permission.

 

9. Use of the Website

• You agree not to use the website for any unlawful purpose or to disrupt the normal operation of the site.

• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or withdraw access to the website at any time without notice.

INSTAGRAM GIVEAWAY TERMS AND CONDITIONS - AUTUMN 2026

Meet & Makes Paint & Sip Giveaway — Terms & Conditions

Promoter: Meet & Makes (@meetandmakes)

1. The promotion

The promotion is a free prize draw to win two places at the Meet & Makes Paint & Sip workshop taking place at The Drapers Arms, Canterbury, on Friday 9 October 2026.

The total stated prize value is £58.

2. Eligibility

The giveaway is open to individuals aged 18 or over who are able to attend the workshop in Canterbury.

Employees of the promoter and anyone professionally connected with the promotion are not eligible to enter.

3. How to enter

To enter, participants must:

• Follow @meetandmakes on Instagram.

• Like the giveaway post.

• Leave a comment on the giveaway post stating who they would bring to the workshop.

No purchase is necessary to enter.

There is no limit to the number of entries, provided each entry is made through a separate valid comment tagging a different friend.

Entries must be made before the closing time of 23:59 (UK time) on Friday 2 October 2026.

Late, incomplete or otherwise invalid entries will not be included in the draw.

4. The prize

One winner will receive two places at the Meet & Makes Paint & Sip workshop at The Drapers Arms, Canterbury, on Friday 9 October 2026.

The prize has a stated value of £58.

The prize is not transferable or exchangeable for cash, except as specifically provided for below.

If the winner has already purchased eligible tickets for the 9 October 2026 Paint & Sip workshop, Meet & Makes will refund the relevant ticket purchase, up to the stated prize value of £58, subject to reasonable proof of purchase.

If the winner cannot attend the 9 October workshop, they may instead choose two places at a future Meet & Makes Foil Embossing or Cracker Making workshop, subject to availability.

The alternative workshop option does not have a cash alternative.

5. Selecting the winner

The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received before the closing date and time.

The random selection will be carried out using a verifiably random process.

The promoter will retain reasonable evidence of the selection process.

6. Contacting the winner

The winner will be contacted by direct message from the official @meetandmakes Instagram account.

The winner must respond within 48 hours of the initial contact.

If the winner does not respond within this period, or is found to be ineligible, the promoter reserves the right to select another winner at random from the remaining valid entries.

7. General

The promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions.

The promoter reserves the right to amend or cancel the promotion only where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary.

The promoter will not be responsible for entries that are lost, delayed or not successfully submitted due to technical issues outside the promoter's reasonable control.

The prize cannot be transferred or sold to another person.

8. Instagram

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram.

By entering, participants acknowledge that Instagram has no responsibility for the promotion.

9. Personal data

Personal information provided by the winner will only be used for the purposes of administering the prize draw, contacting the winner and arranging delivery of the prize, unless the winner separately agrees to further use.

10. Acceptance

By entering the giveaway, participants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
